Experience unforgettable moments with your family, friends or work colleagues - all the senses are addressed in a profound and humorous way.
At the Paul Gugelmann Museum, we want all our visitors to enjoy incomparably beautiful moments. Our primary goal is to convey art and culture in an active and exciting way. The history of the development of footwear from antiquity to the present day is traced here. You can admire footwear from all over the world, documents on the manufacture of shoes (tools, equipment), documents on the shoemaker's trade (guilds, customs, etc.), a collection of antique objects in the shape of shoes made of clay, bronze and iron with a religious-magical character, as well as vessels, boxes and knick-knacks made of porcelain, faience, glass, wood, horn and precious metals from the Baroque to modern times. Paintings and prints on the subject of shoes and shoemaking complete the extensive range. Find out more.
